Thanks to the Oakwood Rotary, the Long-Romspert Museum now has a butterfly garden! Victoria Hix worked with Karen Bartley to create a space behind the sign near the road. Bartley donated the plants, which include the following: Pasture thistle (a lovely biennial); milkweed (planted by seed); tickseed; yellow oxeye; penstemon (foxglove); golden alexanders; native columbine; and yellow coneflower. These will offer nutrition for pollinators as well as birds.
Members of Rotary and The Oakwood Historical Society were present to dedicate the garden during Earth Day week. Rotary will provide a plaque for the garden.

The rotary additionally donated two birdhouses, which are hanging nearby.
