Long time society friend and supporter, Emil Miller, has recently donated a
51” x 72”framed lithograph of Andersonville Prison dated 1864.For years Mr.
Miller and his wife owned a framing and art shop on Brown Street, and Mr.
Miller believes that this lithograph is particularly rare due to its large
size. The lithograph is in its original frame with details around the edges.
Mr. Miller explained that he has never seen one like it at this size, except
in the Fort Sumter Museum. The size is so large that it takes up most of one
wall. The lithograph will be on display at the Homestead beginning in
December until we find an appropriate permanent display.
