On Saturday, September 23rd, The Oakwood Historical Society will present The
Home Restoration Fair at the Edwin D. Smith School auditorium, 1701 Shafor
Blvd. in Oakwood. The fair will be an excellent opportunity for the owners
of older homes to meet with craftspeople, contractors and experts in home
restoration. From stone foundations to slate roofing, window restoration to
chair caning, the fair will cover many home rejuvenation topics.
Woodworkers, home researchers and non-profit organizations have also been
invited to join in and provide invaluable information. The fair will run
from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Admission is $3.00 for adults, children 12 and
under are free. If you recognize the importance of maintaining the
authenticity of your classic home, whether it's an American Bungalow, a
grand English Tudor, or anything in between, don't miss The Home Restoration
Fair!
