Oakwood Historical Society Publications

The Oakwood Historical Society produces quarterly newsletters, annual reports, and miscellaneous publications on special topics.

Newsletters contain information on upcoming events, committee reports, and feature articles on all topics related to Oakwood and the Miami Valley.

  • The Place to Live - a reprint of the 1915 advertising book for the Schantz Historical District: 50 pp, $20
  • An Oakwood Scrapbook - a collection of articles ranging from the geology of Oakwood to Elizabeth Gardens, from the history of Sugar Camp to home businesses during the Depression:102 pp plus index, $15
  • Oakwood: The Far Hills - a history of Oakwood written 1983 celebrating the city's 75th anniversary: 180 pp, chapter notes, and index. (This book is no longer in print. Copies are occasionally available on Amazon and Ebay. Wright Memorial Library and the Dayton Metro Library have copies that can be checked out.)
