About the Oakwood Historical Society
The Oakwood Historical Society was established in 1974 to serve those
who have an interest in the study and sharing of Oakwood’s heritage. The
mission of the Oakwood Historical Society is to research, preserve,
publish, and promote interest in the history of the City of Oakwood,
including government, schools, public enterprises, citizens,
architecture, and buildings. To promote a link to the past, the Oakwood
Historical Society features programs and events throughout the year.
Membership in the Society is open to all who share our interest and
mission. Please visit the Get Involved
